The chain saw should be oiled before each cut.

Manual Oiling System: Lubricate the saw chain by pressing the bulb on the oil reservoir cap twice before making each cut. Hold the bulb down for 3-4 seconds on each press.

Automatic oiling system: Will keep the bar and chain constantly lubricated.
