No, our inverters cannot be connected to an existing wiring circuit. Below are some reason why this should not be done:
- Inverters have a balanced output, whereas the internal transformers alternate the output current between hot and neutral, making them both hot.
- There is no physical ground in the inverter, there is an infinity loop circuit. Standard circuits have neutral tied to ground, and this can cause the inverter to shut down or drop output voltage when connected. (This is also why we recommend using a 3 to 2 prong adapter if the inverter does not run properly with a 3 prong plug, plugged in.)
