Divide the wattage drawn by the appliance by 10 to find out how many DC Amps per hour the appliance takes (load). Subsequently, divide the amp hours of the battery by the amps per hour of the appliance to find out how many hours the jump starter will run the appliance.
For example, if you are running a 60 watt light bulb on a 19 amp-hour battery of the Electromate 400, you would divide 60 by 10 to come up with 6 DC Amps per hour load. Then, divide 6 (load) into the 19 amp-hours (battery) and come up with 3.17 hours of run time.
