If the trimmer line is tangling, you may need to cut the grass or weeds in smaller sections from the top down. When cutting particularly tall or thick grass or weeds, the line can get tangled around the grass and cause a jam.
When cutting tall grass, we recommend making an initial cut higher on the grass and then making a lower cut. For example, if the grass is over six inches tall, and you want to cut the grass down to only one inch, we recommend cutting about 2-3 inches of grass off at a time. So you may need to make a cut about two inches down, then another about two more inches down, and then a final cut at the desired grass height.
If the line is caught around or trapped in the crevice above the spool, we will need to have the unit either taken or sent into one of our service centers.
