Question: What is the Recall for?
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), BLACK+DECKER
is recalling these products to replace the side handle. The side handle may slip and under certain circumstances this could lead to the loss of control of the tool, posing an injury hazard.

Answer. This recall involves all of these products prior to date code 2018 22
Question: If my drill is under recall, what should I do?
Answer. Please stop using it immediately and contact STANLEY BLACK+DECKER Customer Service for a free replacement handle
Question: My handle seems to work okay, how do I know if perhaps it has already been replaced?
Answer. There is a visible difference in the handles. The ones we want to replace, are a solid black in color. The new ones will be a combination of silver and black as you see here. See the attachment for images of each.
