It's safe to leave your lithium batteries on charge over long periods of time, but in case of outdoor usage, you may want to store them away for winter. Before storing the batteries, make sure that they're fully charge, then choose a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. 5 to 25 degrees Celsius, or 41 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit, is ideal for the batteries.

Lithium batteries will maintain their charge for months at a time, so when season ramps back up, there's no need to charge the batteries before using them again. However, you're free to do it in case you'd like to make sure they're fully charge.
