Deja vu 20v max battery and charger

I had previously posted about receiving a 4-tool kit and both battery packs would not charge.
I had posted received a response that an email would be sent to me. Unfortunately, either I didn't receive it or it was unintentionally deleted.
In the meantime, I had returned it to place of purchase and they shipped me a replacement. Unfortunately had same problem ... dead batteries.
I don't know if these are just old kits too long in storage or a battery issue. I did discover that the same type of sanding pads for the mouse sander that come with it are not available (?).
The tool kit was to replace a set of B&D tools that i was happy with for many years which were stolen from my office.
If I have no alternative, I will probably return it this coming Sunday but I won't try to replace it this time.

Hi James. What is the Ah of your batteries?
I have a 20V, 4 Ah battery and I've had the same issue. My battery was working well until the last charge where after an hour of charging, the flashing red light went on, to my disbelief.
It looks like these batteries have a planned obsolescence.
