Battery will not charge

To whom it may concern,

I bought a cordless drill approximately 2 months ago. I finally had an opportunity to use it, and I have  discovered that the battery is not charging. The light just keeps flashing red, no matter how long it’s plugged in.

This is very disappointing, as this is the first time I have ever owned a drill, and to have it not be able to be used, is so frustrating.
