Upgrade from NiCad to Lithium Ion battery?

Can the NS118 leaf blower use a newer lithium ion battery instead of an older NiCad battery replacement? Voltage is about 18 V on both; are the contact points compatible?

  We apologize for the lack of information, they are not interchangeable due to the difference in the technology they both use.
