My Blower/Vacuum will not run and is plugged into a functional power source?

    Switch out the vacuum for the filter attachment used for the blower, then turn on the machine. If this works, then you can place the vacuum back on, and it worked for me. I think it has something to do with the vacuum not fitting very well, but by using the blower filter, it somehow fixes the issue and the machine starts up. Not a real solution but it helped me get mine started. I chose B&D because its was $50 cheaper than a similar spec Toro, and now I'm wondering if it was worth the savings.
