Electric weed Wacker auto feed head nifhrmare
AnsweredHello. I am on my third Black & Decker gh3000 the electric one that has the real heavy duty motor in it. This thing sounds like a race car and it works like a excavator when going through the heavy brush but the problem I've got is that I have had three of these the first one they auto feed didn't work with a darn the second one the drive belt or coil or I don't know what you call it the thing that makes the head go around broke within an hour of using it for the first time and then it was replaced with the one I have now and I had the same exact problems with that automatic feed. I know I'm doing it right and I've tried both factory wound and cell phone and neither one ever seems to work right they either bunch up and I have to keep stopping to let out line by taking it off or it all comes out all at once. I know that I'm putting it in there right with that little plastic piece in the right spot there's hardly anywhere on it at all except where you wind the trim line on it seems to get grooved fairly quickly but other than that there's hardly anywhere on the I guess what you would call the gears at all so here's my question through all of that. Can anybody tell me if there's a bump head that I can put on this thing? I guess that's the short question. I'll replacement heads for weed wackers all say fits almost all gas trimmers. Well I understand that maybe I had might be heavy and be hard on an electric or a battery powered but I don't think so on this motor. Otherwise this thing is useless to me I have a much less expensive Black & Decker that I use for the light duty around the house but I only use this one for the heavier stuff that I know it's very capable of handling. It's just the line feed problem and the other Black & Decker I've got I've had for almost 7 years now and I actually had to rebuild the button that I bumped it with and it works great still so is there any tools for any people out there that can recommend ahead whether it be by Black and Decker or not that I can replace this automatic feed with. Bump head is what I really want because it never seems to feel to work correctly thank you
