The robot uses IR sensors to sense drop-offs/stairs. As with all similar systems, there will be a limited number of situations where this system could be confused by dark surfaces
A number of Robotic Vacuum Cleaners do not (or struggle) to work on dark surfaces, is the able to work on black carpet and dark surfaces? (RVA425B / RVA420BP)
