"Pairing” occurs when you connect a mobile device such as a Smart phone or tablet to a vacuum robot. A device must be paired with a robot vacuum to control it, using the BLACK+DECKER App.If you are having trouble pairing a SMARTECH vacuum with your mobile device, take thesteps below before contacting BLACK+DECKER: Ensure that your robot vacuum is sufficiently charged. Close the BLACK+DECKER App. On your mobile device, turn the Bluetooth function off, and then turn it back on. Reopen the BLACK+DECKER App. Ensure that your mobile device is close to the robot vacuum. Your device should be within a few feet of the robot vacuum when using the BLACK+DECKER App to operate it. Try to pair the robot vacuum again. Be sure to press and hold the Start/Stop button on the top of the vacuum for at least five (5) seconds. If that doesn’t work: Restart the robot vacuum by turning the Power switch on the side of the vacuum OFF and ON. Restart your mobile device. Reopen the BLACK+DECKER App. Try to pair the robot vacuum again. Be sure to press and hold the Start/Stop button on the top of the vacuum for at least five (5) seconds. ANDROID ONLY : Bluetooth may require that the “Location Services” and App “Permissions for Location Services” settings on your device be turned on.
